Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is an exfoliation treatment used with a scalpel to lightly scrap the dead skin and vellus hair also know as "peach fuzz" leaving the skin soft and clean for better product penetration. This treatment is great for minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, softening hyperpigmentation and evening overall tone. 

No downtime is required with this service and is paired with a choice of extractions to clear clogged pores or high frequency which increases oxygen to the skin, improving the overall texture, glow and will help to treat acne problems. Does Dermaplaning hurt?

Not at all! Dermaplaning is completely pain-free and overall the treatment is quite therapeutic. 

Will my hair grow back thicker and darker?

No. The hair we are exfoliating off the skin is vellus hair also known as peach fuzz which is finer and lighter in colour. Once the vellus hair is removed it will never change into terminal hair which is darker and coarse, like the hair on your head. The only time a person's hair changes in colour or coarseness is when there is a change in your hormones. The hair will always grow back to the state it started in.

How often can Dermaplaning be done?

The skin cells take 28 days to regenerate which is why you should wait 3-4 weeks to have this treatment done again. By the 3-4 week mark your dead skin cells will be ready to be exfoliated and you'll be back to silky smooth skin.
